The smokers are outside cursing the cold instead of their habit. Take one last drag before you flick the smoke away. We’ll escape this judgmental chill with kindred spirits, liquid and otherwise. Do you remember last night? Neither do I. Up all night and we don’t even know why. Daylight comes, we’ll sleep past noon. Wait ‘til 10 then it’s time for round two. We’ll be up all night, dancing and singing, fighting the sunrise, kicking and screaming. Tonight all the girls look so pretty, but I’m getting to drunk to try and be witty. So they’ll follow the nearest asshole home from the party. Wake-up tomorrow, rollover and say what a pity. Sometimes I think too much, sometimes I sleep too much, sometimes I drink too much, then I don’t think enough. We’ll be up all night, dancing and singing. Fighting the sunrise, kicking and screaming.

To the memories we left behind. To the ones that fade away. Tonight we toast with a purpose. Cause anything else would just be wishful drinking.
The only things still holding us together are rubber bands and paper clips. Crank your heart, wind it up. Cause all I can think about is where else i could be.
Fill your lungs up with salt to resonate your arid words. Water, water everywhere and not a drop to drink. A lie then is still a lie now.
The only things still holding us together are rubber bands and paper clips. Crank your heart, wind it up. Cause all I can think about is where else i could be.
Don't take me down with you, don't make me drown with you. The waters deep, and I can't swim so I'm not getting in.
